Becoming a Member
We welcome your interest in becoming a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church. Please contact us at (989) 868-4791. Depending on your current or previous church membership, we can receive you into membership by one of these options:
Transfer: If you are currently a communicant member of a Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod congregation you can transfer your membership to St. Michael's by contacting your church and requesting a transfer. If you are a member of another Lutheran Church (i.e., WELS, ELCA) you can also contact your church and ask if they will arrange a transfer of membership. We will also provide you with an application for membership. We invite you to meet with one of our pastors who will be glad to tell you more about our ministry and answer any questions you might have.
Adult Membership Class: If you are attending another church denomination (i.e., Roman Catholic, Baptist, Methodist) we invite you to attend our Membership Class which is offered several times a year. This class covers the basic teachings of the Christian faith, and there is no cost or obligation. If you don't have a church background we would be glad to have you attend the same class where you will learn about God's love for us in our Savior Jesus Christ.
